In honor of the 40th anniversary of the global student uprisings of 1968, the Laband Art Gallery is inviting students from eight of Los Angeles’ prominent art schools (Arts Center, CalArts, Cal State Long Beach, LMU, Occidental, Otis, UCLA, and USC) to confront mainstream media, political practices, and other current issues that affect our world. This exhibition will examine the oppositional power of art and its ability to bring about social change. Historical works from 1968 will also be included.

The gallery is open Wednesday through Sunday, Noon to 4 p.m.
