Lawrence Hall of Science presents a unique, interactive dinosaur exhibit, Dinosaurs Unearthed through 1/1/12.

Explore the world of dinosaurs like never before in Dinosaurs Unearthed at Lawrence Hall of Science. Scientists, engineers, and artists designed these creatures to be as lifelike as possible. The gigantic animated dinosaurs open their jaws, blink their eyes, move their limbs ... and more. You will walk among roaring, stomping, realistic-looking robotics, including Tyrannosaurus Rex, Stegosaurus, Triceratops, Apatosaurus, Deinonychus and Parasaurolophus.

See the Hall's dinosaurs spring to life - if you dare! Dinosaurs Unearthed features amazingly real robotic dinosaurs, a hands-on fossil dig site, articulated full-size skeletons, actual dinosaur fossils, and interactive multimedia stations.

Our younger visitors will have fun in the 'Young Explorers' Experience. This special exhibition area features activities designed for visitors aged 2-7 years, such as a dino dig site, a climb-in dino nest, and a take-home activity.

Dinosaurs Unearthed exhibition also features a companion program, Target Earth, in the Lawrence Hall of Science planetarium. Target Earth explores how comets and asteroids colliding with Earth made our planet a good place for life to begin, but later impacts drastically affected-or ended-the development of some life. Learn how by making your own estimate of how often Earth has been hit by comets or asteroids. And, find out how multiple sciences such as astronomy, chemistry, paleontology, and geology are all needed to shed light on the mystery of dinosaur extinction. Could it happen to us?
Recommended for ages 8 and up.
