Detroit Symphony: Mendelssohn & Mahler February 7, 2009

Detroit Symphony Orchestra conducted by James Conlon along with mezzo soprano Kristine Jepson and tenor John Treleaven will perform Mendelssohn's Symphony No. 1. It is paired with one of the last pieces Mahler wrote, his triumphal hymn to humanity, 'Das Lied von der Erde'
