This class will teach you how to use the Eagle PCB Design software to create your own printed circuit boards (PCB) designs. The designs the can be sent to a fabrication shop in China (or Chester, PA) to have printed out for you. This one of a kind class is being taught by Zach Smith, the designer of the Danger Shield Arduino board which has been featured on Make Blog and our own Danger Shield for Arduino class.

For a long time making PCB's was almost impossible for the small business, DIY engineer, or Maker. Now, with new design tools and a little bit of training, anyone who knows simple electronics can design their own circuit boards and have them manufactured .

There is nowhere else in the sprawl that runs this type of jump-start class on PCB design! The first 4 hours of the class will cover the basics of PCB design. Students will make their own modifications to a basic Electronic Business Card template.

In the afternoon 3 more hours are set aside as a lab time, to get one-on-one help from the experts. During the lab makers can work on their own PCB designs using their new skills, or they can get help on outside circuit design ideas. This is the perfect time to get great tips from the experts on this awesome topic.

If at the end of class you are happy with you design, we will be sending in a group order to have the designs manufactured by a service like BatchPCB.
