As workplace lawsuits proliferate, there's an urgent need for HR professionals to educate employees to avoid potentially costly mistakes. In the best of times, HR partners with training staff or consultants to design and implement critical educational efforts. Too often, however, we're faced with training problems to address and no resources to help design appropriate, timely solutions. So, why not learn to do it yourself?

In this workshop, you will learn to use a proven training design model and practical tools to create effective internal training. In the process, you'll practice new skills through a variety of interactive learning experiences.

Speakers
Cecile Morris, SPHR-CA, IPMA-CP, is the Manager, SHR Management Services Team for UC Santa Cruz. She facilitates campus wide training for Performance Management, and Introduction to Supervision. Previously she worked in management and HR for NovaCare Inc., providing a broad range of human resources services including international recruiting. She has an MBA and JD, and is working toward a PhD in Organization and Management with an emphasis in HR.

Donna Weeks is president of PPMA Consulting in Solana Beach, California. Her clients have included a variety of private and public sector organizations across the US. Her focus is organization development, group facilitation, custom training design and classroom training. For more than ten years, Donna worked with some 50 healthcare facilities to implement customer service and leadership training for administrators and staff.
