Bette King, a long-time friend of Lambert, is producing the "Dennis Lambert - The Man Behind the Music" to raise money for DesertArc, formerly the Foundation for the Retarded, the Palm Desert-based organization that does so much to serve the Coachella Valley's developmentally disabled.

The fund-raising event begins Nov. 14 at 11:00 a.m. with a Gala luncheon for 400 at Agua Caliente featuring the fabulous vocal styling of cabaret star Devorah Herberg and the mystifying magic of "Pyro" plus raffle, door prizes and celebrity photo signings. Tickets are available for $75 by calling (760) 322-1411 or Connie Clinton at DesertArc at 346-1611. Before the 9 p.m. show, there will be a VIP Champagne reception at 7 p.m. hosted by Bette King Productions.

Sponsorship packages are available now for Gala luncheon, Champagne reception and concert, and some include hotel accommodations at the Agua Caliente Casino, Resort and Spa in Rancho Mirage and the Agua Caliente Spa, Resort and Casino in Palm Springs, King said. Sponsorship packages range from $1,000 for Gala Luncheon and VIP Champagne reception for 10 to $50,000 as a show underwriter. Packages, including concert tickets, Gala luncheon tickets and hotel accommodations range from $2,500 to $25,000.

"By becoming a sponsor, you will be supporting DesertArc, a wonderful, non-profit organization," King said. "It is our goal to raise funds to support the DesertArc facility which trains over 115 mentally and physically disabled citizens in Palm Desert and more than 600 clients from Temecula to the Salton Sea."
