DC’s Largest Scavenger Hunt, Hunt DC, invites you on a blind date with the Nation’s Capital!

United Social Sports is bringing back its Scavenger Hunt Series with more costumes, riddles, obstacles
and brain benders than ever before!

Washington, DC - On Saturday, April 13, 2013, 2,500+ hunters will descend on downtown DC to raise
money and awareness for area non-profits, while having fun solving riddles and clues at DC’s largest
Scavenger Hunt. Just like the kind of Scavenger Hunts we all played as kids, but instead of collecting
a bunch of junk, Hunt DC aims to help attendees collect an experience like no other. Event organizers
hope to take you on the ultimate citywide excursion that celebrates the things that are uniquely DC.
A series of clues and unique tasks will set the itinerary for this 4 hour adventure around the City, which
is designed to take people on a blind date with the Nation’s Capital.

From trivia and clues to teamwork and quirky challenges, Hunt DC will be more of a rally than a physical
race, with points scored for the number of items found and tasks completed. Players will have the
gratification of knowing that their participation will help raise awareness for a good cause. The Mission,
should you choose to accept it is to race through Washington DC, solving riddles, photographing
evidence and answering questions on a scavenger hunt that takes you through the treasures of our
Nation’s Capital. Residents with knowledge of the city can help their teams alongside those who want to
explore and learn about our beautiful city.

Why would you want to do this Scavenger Hunt? There’s more brainwork, teamwork, initiative and
silliness required than most adventure events. The premise is you and your teammates plot your own
route on foot around several locations all across DC Metro, plus find a few mystery destinations, moving
targets, hidden items and document your stop at each. Participants are tasked with searching the
Nation’s Capital for moving and stationary clues that focus on various citywide locations, active lifestyle
elements, monuments and the benefiting nonprofits. After the hunt, a post-party celebration will be
held with prizes and top honors given out.

“A day exploring the City is always a good day, but add in a costume, some scavenging and a post-hunt
party, and it quickly becomes a day you’d be foolish to miss,” says Casey Willis, Events Director of United
Social Sports. Hunt DC is part of United Social Sports broader effort to encourage people to ‘Never Stop
Playing!’ This City Wide Scavenger Hunt is for those who crave logistic challenges, team dynamics, the
heat of competition, and four hours’ worth of creative problem solving.

So display your DC spirit and smarts by figuring out the places our clues describe. You might even learn
something new about our beloved City! You can earn great prizes and make new friends all the while
showing off how well you know our Nation’s Capital.
