The David ORourkestra was formed out of arranger/guitarist David O'Rourke's love of large ensemble jazz. Stylistically David likes to keep one foot in the past and one in the contemporary while he explores the vast palette of possibilities left by the great arrangers. Tonight will be David's first time to step on a NYC stage as a leader in at least 5 years (excepting his weekly youth orchestra appearances). Repertoire for tonight will feature instrumentals penned by David along with vocal arrangements to feature Nina D'Alessandro and Jennifer Sutton O'Rourke
