Originally Cockney, David Jones has a large repertoire of folksong from both sides of the Atlantic. He has performed in North America, Britain, Australia and Europe, with songs from the great days of sail, Music Hall favorites, traditional ballads and contemporary songs both a capella and with guitar accompaniment. He involves his audience in refrains and choruses ranging from boisterous to sentimental. This former member of the Sloop Clearwater singing crew has also played feature roles in theatrical productions, and has sung and provided narration for a number of Public Broadcasting productions, including A Prairie Home Companion, Africans in America and Simple Gifts. Two of his recordings have won Parents' Choice Gold Awards and one of those also earned a Grammy nomination. Admission: $15 on-the-door only, 14 & under free with adult, 1/2 price students/disabled.
