A generation before Alt-Country became a genre, Dave Donnelly was rolling and tumbling through honky-tonk establishments in Western New York. While providing the grit and the groove to interpretations of song writers such as Johnny Cash, Billy Joe Shaver, Rodney Crowell and Townes Van Zandt, he has crafted a sound uniquely his own. No matter who writes the tale, Dave Donnelly brings a deep focus and emotional honesty that lives in the center of his music. Joining Dave Donnelly is his long-time guitarist Frank Sellitto (former guitarist for Nashville’s “Junkyard Angels”). Jim Symonds of “Bobby Henrie and the Goners” fame will be on the drums with Mike Judd on bass.
