Cymbeline

Cymbeline is in essence a romantic fairy tale like Pericles, The Winter's Tale and The Tempest. Posthumus is falsely led to believe that his wife and true love, Imogen, has been unfaithful. Blinded by jealous rage he sends order for her to be killed. Hearing of his plan Imogen escapes to the Welsh mountains where, in disguise, she has many adventures before she is finally reunited and reconciled with her husband and her father King Cymbeline.
