Gothenburg, Sweden trio CUT CITY formed in 2002 around the local Deleted Art label, sort of the Swedish counterpart to U.S. art-punk imprints like Three One G and Gold Standard Laboratories. Combining the progressive guitar-driven thrust of groups like ECHO AND THE BUNNYMAN, MORRISEY and JOY DIVISION, with elements of newer artists like MOVING UNITS and THE RAPTURE, CUT CITY soon evolved a characteristic sound all their own. Fronted by guitarist/singer Max Hansson, whose immediately-recognizable voice betrays the band's relatively new arrival, CUT CITY are a fresh and contemporary addition to the blossoming "dance-punk" pantheon, reinforced by great songwriting and skilled performances. CUT CITY's self-titled CDEP is released on Gold Standard Laboratories.

ABOUT PARIS started in November of 2003 in Amsterdam, as a reaction to the absence of interesting European counterparts to the American upsurge of post-punk bands in the early 2000s. Bands like LIARS, LES SAVY FAV, and NUMBERS were a direct inspiration to form ABOUT PARIS.
Initially starting out as a trio (Caspar on guitar, Geert-Jan on drums, and Niels on vocals), About Paris were eventually accompanied by Rosanne as synth player, who, in the summer of 2004, was replaced by Willem.
The thick layers of Willem's Korg synth defined the sound that characterized ABOUT PARIS from the first show in December 2004 and all the shows in 2005 that would follow: a blend of post-punk and new wave; a sound that's both dark and moody as well as uplifting and danceable.
ABOUT PARIS recorded four songs in March 2005 that were released as a CD-EP through the small Dutch label Zabel Muziek. Ironically, the EP's release party in November 2005 was the last show of the quartet that recorded it.
The band played without a bass guitarist all that time and 2006 starts with Caspar switching to bass and Johan joining to take up Caspar's guitar duties. ABOUT PARIS is now working on new songs and directions and is ready to play their new set as a quintet everywhere.

THE HANDS exists as a three-piece now for over four years and are finally making some progress in creating our own music. They try to mix all our influences into their own creations while the strings try to keep up with the drums. influences: LED ZEP, JESUS LIZARD, THE MARS VOLTA, HAYMARKET RIOT, JOY DIVISION, KING CRIMSON, THE MELVINS, SHELLAC, LES SAVY FAV, but the most influence definitely comes from their friends and hero's: MONO, FEVERDREAM, OIL and THE SOLOMEN ONLY.
