Cut & Paste: Live Design Competition November 11, 2006

From breakdancing contests, DJ battles and poetry jams to fashion shows, gallery exhibitions and film festivals, Los Angeles serves as an epicenter and source of inspiration for modern culture. Battling for cred, style points, legitimacy, and earning the right to be at the top is the way to carve out your legacy in Los Angeles. Design is no exception.

Last November, eight graphic designers participated in the first-ever Cut & Paste Digital Design Tournament, displaying their artistic and technical prowess in front of a screaming audience and panel of distinguished judges. A new platform was created where graphic designers can flex their creative muscle in front of their peers and earn the admiration and respect of industry professionals in a structured competitive format.

AUDIENCE DESIGN CONTEST: Come create your own "speed-design" onsite just like the Cut&Paste contestants. Voted online, each city's winning designer receives a Wacom Graphire 6"X8" Tablet.
