Curating Literary Events: A Workshop led by Maw Shein Win

As part of its on-going educational programming, Kearny Street Workshop is offering a Curatorial Workshop for Literary Events on July 6, 2005 led by Maw Shein Win. The workshop will cover several aspects of curating literary programs, including what factors to consider when selecting writers; pitfalls to avoid in curating work; and how to put together a strong literary program.

MAW SHEIN WIN is a Burmese American writer who lives in Berkeley, California. Her work has been published in various journals including Watchword, Kitchen Sink, and Printed Matter, and more recently in Instant City, Hogtown Creek Review, and Hyphen. She is the editor and publisher of Comet, a print and online literary, arts, and culture magazine based in the Bay Area. Win has organized many literary and art events over the years in conjunction with Comet and other projects. She is the recipient of the Public Corporation for the Arts Artist's Grant.
