Juneteenth is the oldest celebration commemorating the ending of slavery in the U.S., it emphasizes freedom, education and self-improvement. Nationally known and celebrated storyteller La'Ron Williams will commemorate the event with moving stories of the African American experience in the western hemisphere. His rich baritone voice creates the appropriate sound effects while his skillful theatrical interpretations convey the wit, pathos and humor of the tales he tells.
