Cultivating Leaders: Recycling Field Trip January 24, 2011

You collect pounds of recyclables at an event, separate out recycling during a community cleanup, and have instituted recycling in your office but what happens to the recyclables after you have bagged them up?
Join Keep Austin Beautiful (KAB) for a tour of Allied Waste’s recycling facility to see how materials are separated here in Austin and how KAB supports recycling and waste reduction through our on-going programs like Event Recycling, Longhorn Recycle Roundup, and Patch Pal Activity Kits.
Allied Waste operates more than 375 collection companies in 40 states and Puerto Rico, serving millions of residential customers under contracts with more than 2,800 municipalities for waste collection and residential services.
