Crescent clean up campaign March 1, 2009

Local people, staff and students will be helping out on this clean-up organised by the University's Screaming Green student enviromental group.

Following the clearance of some dead trees by the River Irwell, a lot of discarded rubbish has been revealed on the river bank and volunteers are needed to help clean it up.

Anyone who wants to help out will need to bring stout sensible footwear, warm clothes and some food, but a free chip butty will be provided on the Monday.
