University of Salford English and Creative Writing students will be reading and performing their own work at the Central LIbrary in Manchester on 30 April 1-2 pm (free coffee and tea).

This is their second gig at the Central Library after a resounding event last year, which was packed and extremely entertaining, including poetry, short fiction, sketches and even a haiku swell.

To prepare for the event international SLAM and performance poetry expert Bob Hysek has flown out from Palacky University in Olomouc, Czech Republic (funded by the ERASMUS staff mobility scheme) to train them in performance of poetry and poetic text.
