Join us for a Creative Commons Hong Kong informational meeting and brainstorm!

Who: Everybody interested in bringing Creative Commons to Hong Kong

Purpose: This meeting will be very informal - it is not a lecture but an opportunity for discussion. There are three basic goals.

1. Catharina Maracke of Creative Commons International will explain the steps required to localize the Creative Commons license for Hong Kong, and we will update everybody on our efforts to find a local host institution and local lead people for CC-HK. Nothing is yet set in stone so we want to hear your views and ideas.

2. This will be a good opportunity for people to ask questions about how they might use CC-licenses here in Hong Kong in the future and how people in other countries are using them.

3. We also hope that everybody will be prepared to introduce themselves to the group and share ideas about how you would like to use CC, and how you think it can be promoted in Hong Kong after we have localized the license.

How to participate remotely via Skype conference call:

* IN ADVANCE: Make sure you have Skype installed on your computer and that you have an account set up.

* ALSO IN ADVANCE: Add "rebeccamack" to your Skype buddy list (include a note identifying yourself and saying that you want to join the CC HK call).

* A little before 7pm on Monday, log onto Skype. Rebecca will see your user name there, and will add you to the call.

(Hopefully that will work - we were going to try doing it as a Skypecast but that turned out to be very user-unfriendly. So we are doing Skype conference call instead.)
