Led by former Camper Van Beethoven frontman David Lowery, Cracker's post-punk, country-tinged songs earned some hits in the early '90s with 'Low' and 'Get Off This.' Though it seems as if they disappeared years ago, Camper Van Beethoven's original members have come together every so often to make sweet music which, at the time of their 1985 debut, was truly a revelation. The band's merging of punk, folk, ska and world music has been self-described as "surrealist absurdist folk" by founding members David Lowery (Cracker), Chris Molla and Chris Pedersen.
