Sacred Music in a Sacred Space presents one of the earliest oratorios on record, Carissimi's "Jephte", as well as Charpentier's poignant "Denial of St. Peter" and Couperin's intimate "Tenebrae Lessons." With soloists Michèle Eaton (Filia), Kathy Theil (Ancilla), Gregory Purnhagen (Jephte), Steven Fox (St. Peter), and Peter Stewart (Historicus).
