Country music legend LeAnn Rimes makes her second guest appearance with the Gay Men’s Chorus of Los Angeles (GMCLA) for two performances of its season finale, “Fade to Blue,” the Chorus’ first-ever, all-country music program featuring a range of popular classic and contemporary country hits, on Saturday, June 23, 8 pm, and Sunday, June 24, 3 pm, at the Saban Theatre in Beverly Hills. Rimes, who has sold more than 37 million records worldwide, first appeared with the Chorus at its popular holiday concert last season and is also featured in a video endorsement of GMCLA’s noted, in-school, anti-bullying, outreach program, Alive Music Project.

“It’s an honor to welcome back LeAnn Rimes and thrilling for the Gay Men’s Chorus of Los Angeles to share the stage with her for this all-country concert,” says GMCLA Artistic Director E. Jason Armstrong. “We are deeply grateful to LeAnn for her ongoing support of the Chorus and our mission.”

Rimes performs both with the Chorus and solo. GMCLA kicks up its heels with such country hits as Brad Paisley’s This Is Country Music; George Strait’s Here For A Good Time; the Dixie Chicks’ Cowboy, Take Me Away; a Dolly Parton medley; Johnny Cash’s I've Been Everywhere; and Sugarland’s Stuck Like Glue. Other highlights include Loretta Lynn’s You Ain't Woman Enough; Taylor Swift’s Mean; Reba McEntire's Turn On The Radio; Tim McGraw’s Live Like You Were Dyin'; Blake Shelton's country version of the classic Kenny Loggins’ song Footloose; and an original suite featuring music from the film Brokeback Mountain.

Acclaimed for her radiant and distinctive voice, Rimes has received two Grammy Awards, three Academy of Country Music Awards and twelve Billboard Music Awards. She was the youngest recipient of a Grammy Award, and the first country recording artist to win in the “Best New Artist” category.
