CoolTan Arts Largactyl Shuffle – Architecture and Photography
Saturday 18 July 2009, 12noon at Maudsley Hospital
Join us with walk leader Cynthia Bernheim for another leisurely and informative shuffle through South London. As we meander and stroll from the Maudsley Hospital to the Tate Modern, participants will be encouraged to take photographs and look at some buildings designed by world famous architects and learn how they have interacted with the history of mental health in Southwark.
CoolTan Arts Largactyl Shuffle is a guided cultural walk designed to encourage mental and physical well being, through art, exercise, humour and history, de-stigmatizing mental distress.
Walkers meet at 12noon at the main entrance of Maudsley Hospital, Denmark Hill, SE5 8AZ and walk to Tate Modern, Holland Street, SE1 9TG. Allow 3-4 hours to finish this walk.
