LA, Los Angeles Times Magazine will host Conversations on Health and Wellness on Saturday, Oct. 10. Sheryl Crow, entertainer and cancer survivor, will give the keynote in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Marianne Williamson, spiritual teacher and author; Sherry Lansing and Laura Ziskin, cofounders of Stand Up to Cancer; Dr. Tim Miller, plastic surgeon and Operation Mend founder, with Octavio Sanchez, Iraq War veteran; Dr. Dennis Slamon, developer of cancer drug Herceptin; Dr. Soram Khalsa, proponent of integrative medicine and author of The Vitamin D Revolution; Rory Freedman, author of The Skinny Bitch and more complete the program. Conversation topics range from wellness and prevention to anti-aging to future treatments in medicine. Activities such as meditation, yoga, massage, beauty treatments and a sampling of products and exercise equipment are included.
