CONVERGENT EVOLUTION Closing Reception Tuesday December 16th, 7pm-midnight. Fritz Schomburg began glassworking during graduate school in Biochemistry at UW-Madison. After receiving a PhD, he returned to glass art where he formulated numerous colored glasses, some of which display dramatic color changes in different lighting conditions. These intriguing glasses were used to create thick castings with intricate detail, reminiscent of magnified cellular cross-sections. Convergent Evolution displays glass representations of microscopic scientific phenomena. 21 and older. INFERNO 1718 Commercial Ave , Madison.

I was able to preview this show and I was very excited! The magnitude of this work is very impressive! It is very rare to find artwork that moves and inspires you. The color changing glass is phenomenal! You can easily spend an hour here! The Inferno was a perfect choice for this venue. Thanks!
