Host: Center of the American Experiment. The 2008 presidential race has been going on for years already – literally. Yet by tradition, the contest won’t truly get under way until the candidates deliver their acceptance speeches. Interestingly, all of these events take place within a few days of each other this election cycle, with one of the national conventions to be held in St. Paul. To mark this geographic if less-than-harmonic convergence, please join us for a special American Experiment Breakfast Forum at which wonderful wordsmiths discuss what they – in their best first- and second-guessing – would urge Senators McCain and Obama to say and/or have said. David Frum, author of Comeback: Conservatism That Can Win Again, served as speechwriter and special assistant to President George W. Bush. John Hinderaker, a Minneapolis lawyer, is one of the three founders and authors of “Power Line,” Time magazine’s inaugural “Blog of the Year.”
