September 21 and September 22, 9:30am - 3:30pm both days

With employee complaints on the rise, busy HR professionals find themselves conducting an increasing number of workplace investigations in addition to their regular workload. Acquire the skills you need to handle the most challenging investigations, and gain tools for conducting them efficiently and effectively to avoid legal challenges and make the most of your time.

Day 1 - The Crucial Early Stages of an Investigation
Because the quality of an investigation can be determined even before the first interview, Day 1 of the program will focus on the initial stages of an investigation. You will begin to hone your interviewing skills through mock interview exercises, focusing on difficult or aggressive witnesses.

Day 2 - Concluding the Investigation and Making Findings
You will continue to practice your interviewing skills, including techniques for getting the most out of the interview of the accused employee. Participants will receive practical templates and tools to take back to the office and use on investigations.
