Interviewing someone can be on a very formal basis, such as recruitment, or it can be very informal, for example chatting to potential volunteers and trustees and one to one internal discussions. This training session will briefly address techniques for the formal and informal interview. There will be advice on identifying the skills and abilities of interviewees and their suitability for the job. Practical tips and techniques to make successful recruitment decisions. Addressing questioning and listening, to ask the right questions and to understand what the interviewee is saying. To help interviewers understand the 'Dos' and 'Don'ts' of employment legislation in the context of interviewing. Refreshments provided.
