Community First East Hampshire - Funding for small community groups training workshop. March 24, 2009

If you are involved in a small group that works with people living in Hampshire, then you may be able to apply for funding from Grassroots Grants. Grassroots Grants is aimed at small, volunteer-led groups - annual income (averaged over the last 3 years) must be below £20,000. Maximum grant available is £5,000. Grants can be given to enable groups to continue or expand work, including advocacy, community voice and service provision for local people. This is a Government-funded grant scheme being run by the Hampshire & Isle of Wight Community Foundation. Kevin Sawers, based at Community Action Hampshire, is the Grassroots Grants Hampshire Co-ordinator and will be facilitating the event. If you have already started to complete an application form for Grassroots, then bring this along for more specific help. Community First East Hampshire will also be promoting their service at this event. Come along a bit earlier, say 6pm, to enjoy a light buffet and refreshments. Places must be booked in advance.
