Comix Presents The Richie Byrnes Show!

NEW YORK, NY – The Richie Byrne Show, gathers an eclectic mix of the finest talents in music and from different types of entertainment, including but not limited to television, film and Broadway to write and perform original sketches. Live at Comix, one night only Tuesday February 5th at 8:00 PM.

Richie Byrne, host and creator of the show, is a veteran stand-up comedian, actor and singer with television appearances on The Rosie O’Donnell Show, A & E, Showtime, Law & Order, Sex & the City, and most recently, The Sopranos. He has hosted many celebrity guests including Karmine Alers (RENT), Eden Riegel (All My Children), David Keeley (Mama Mia), Wilson (Trading Spaces), Rob Bartlett (Chicago Little Shop of Horrors), Joy Behar (The View) and Dat Phan (Last Comic Standing) and Finola Hughes (numerous television appearance).

With a theatrical tone and the energy of a comedy club atmosphere, the show flows from sketches, to song, to stand-up in seamless fashion. The show uses sharp wit and unique tactics in its humor to take sketch comedy to the edge.

ABOUT THE PERFORMERS
GOUBMBA JOHNNY, a legendary funny man and host of the hit of WKTU’s “Hollywood & Goumba” show has appeared on The Weakest Link, The Montel Williams Show, Tough Crowd with Colin Quinn, The CBS Early Show, The Ricki Lake show, The Queen Latifah show, Who Wants to be a Millionaire, Metro TV/Naked New York and Court TV. In the past Johnny has written for Cosmopolitan and contributed to US Weekly’s Fashion Police for 3 years. He currently contributes weekly to Star’s Style Stalkers.
WALT WILLEY star of ABC’s All My Children star is celebrting his eighteenth year there. He was a People's Choice nominee in 1992, and was named All My Children's Most Valuable Player by Soap Opera Update's Readers' Poll. He was again awarded this honor in 1993.
Willey branched out into stand-up comedy in 1989, headlining across the country at famous comedy clubs. In 2001 Joy Behar proposed him for membership in the famous Friars Club, Mr. Wiley joined the likes of Milton Berle, Sid Caesar and Billy Crystal by being inducted into the prestigious entertainment fraternity.
Pete Dominick, host of Sirius Satellite Radio’s live daily show Comedy By Request as well as Getting Late where he interviews actors and comedians such as Louie CK, Bob Saget, Lewis Black and Larry the Cable Guy is also the daily audience warm up for The Colbert Report. Dominick performed in the 2006 Just For Laugh's Montreal Comedy Festival on the "New Faces of Comedy" show and has also done stand up on Comedy Central’s Live at Gotham and NBC's Comic Standing and The Apprentice.
