speaker biographies:
Margaret has more than 15 years experience as a freelance writer,
editor, event manager and teacher. She was the recipient of the
2001 Calgary Award - Environmental Achievement Award - in
Environmental Communications. She was also the editor of
Encompass, Alberta’s magazine on the environment, when the
magazine won a 2000 Emerald Award for Environmental
Excellence. While editor of Encompass, she was also a weekly
CBC radio environmental columnist, a rich experience that
allowed her to build up a hefty environmental rolodex.

As Vice President, Western Region, Theresa Howland is
responsible for leading Bullfrog Power’s operations in Western
Canada. Prior to joining Bullfrog Power, Theresa oversaw
business development activities for leading wind power
developer, Vision Quest Windelectric, an independently
operated division of TransAlta. From 2004 to 2005, Theresa
served as Chair of the Board of Directors for the Canadian
Wind Energy Association, and from 2002 to 2006, served as
a Director. Theresa received a Bachelor of Commerce from
the University of Calgary.
