On September 10, Comix welcomes our filthiest new showcase Dirty Thursday to the stage for the first time. Dirty Thursday is the only show where NYC's top comedians cut loose with their nastiest, dirtiest material. Normally clean comics will show their "blue" side and normally "blue" comics will work raw purple. This show is hosted by Kurt Metzger and Big Jay Oakerson.
About the hosts
Kurt Metzger is a former writer for Chappelle's Show and has recently performed a half hour standup special for Comedy Central Presents. He has also performed on Comedy Central's Live at Gotham and Showtimes's White Boyz in the Hood.
Big Jay Oakerson has already performed at two of the most prestigious festivals in the business: the Just for Laughs Comedy Festival, and the HBO U.S. Comedy Arts Festival. Jay has also made numerous television appearances including Comedy Central's Premium Blend and Tough Crowd with Colin Quinn.
