Opening reception Thur, April 26, 5-8pm; exhibit runs April 26 - June 15, 2012

The Town of Danville's Village Theatre Art Gallery presents Colorscapes, featuring an array of paintings by seven contemporary artists: Mark Bowles , Gail Dawson, Benjamin Meyer and Robert Minervini, Heather Patterson, Brian Rutenberg from NewYork and Jenn Shifflet.

Colorscapes is an exhibition that celebrates paint, color and the landscape. Whether it is moody, mysterious, luminescent or complex, each painting pulsates with movement and light achieved by layers of color and form. Each of these featured artists investigates a unique color structure that represents their own personal vision of landscapes. This exhibit is for those who love big colorful abstract paintings, and also for the casual art appreciator to experience something fresh in the genre of landscape art.

The exhibition will run from April 26 to June 15, 2012. There will be an opening reception for the artists and the public on April 26 from 5p.m. to 8p.m. Two special events are also scheduled for this exhibition: Art Chat and Young @ Art; pre-registration is required.
