“Miracles Through Song”

The Colorado Women's Chorale, directed by nationally acclaimed women’s choral conductor Charlotte Adams, will present “Miracles Through Song” featuring Young Voices of Colorado at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, December 11 at the South Broadway Christian Church, 23 Lincoln St, Denver. In celebration of the holiday season, the Colorado Women’s Chorale performs Cantate Domino by Ruth Watson Henderson, Dashing Through the Snow, traditional arranged by John Leavitt, Laudate Pueri by Johann Michael Haydn, The Angel (in Russian) by Sergei Rachmaninoff, A Mercy of Peace (in Russian) by Alexander Kastalsky, Tomorrow Shall Be My Dancing Day, traditional arranged by John Rutter and Go Where I Send Thee, a Gospel Spiritual arranged by Paul Caldwell and Sean Ivory.

Charlotte Adams, music educator, is the founder and Principal Conductor of the Colorado Women's Chorale. Over the last 30 years, she has served as a pillar of the choral music community, specifically women's choral music, in Colorado. Ms. Adams was Conductor for 2007 World Voices Australia International Choral Festival, Sydney Opera House and will be Conductor for Choral Salute to the 2008 Beijing Olympics. She is active as a choral clinician and adjudicator for choral festivals throughout the USA. Her choirs have toured throughout the USA, Canada, Australia and Europe.

Young Voices of Colorado is premiere children's choir for treble singers from 2nd through 12th grades.

Over it's 20 year history, Young Voices has been honored to perform at many notable local and regional events including Opening Day of Denver International Airport, the Inauguration of Denver Mayor John Hickenlooper, Carnegie Hall in New York City and the Celebration of Peace with Up With People.

Part of the Young Voices experience includes the opportunity to participate in local and international festivals and tours. Within the United States, Young Voices has traveled to Florida, Oregon, New York, Louisiana, Missouri, and Hawaii. Internationally, they have toured England, Wales, Ireland, Scotland, Austria, Hungary, and the Czech Republic. In 2011, Young Voices will be touring and competing in choir festivals in the United Kingdom. Locally, Young Voices is host to the Sing A Mile High Children's Choral Festival every summer. They have also competed in the Music in the Parks Festival winning "Best Overall Choir".
