CWC will be joined by Brady Loyd, conducting the all-female Douglas County High School Belles. This is Maestro Loyd's first performance with the Belles as their new maestro.

Come and experience CWC's journey through a variety of tonal colors in music. Performance selections will include Orban's Mass No. 6, works by Raminsh and Walker, and show tunes from the popular musical Les Miserables. The Orban Mass is a breathtakingly beautiful 4 movement work that maintains the sacred nature of the text of the Mass while incorporating jazz and blues chord progressions throughout. Raminsh's particularly movingIn the Beginning takes the audience through the first book of Genesis by building the tonality of the music to match the creation story. Also included will be Gwyneth Walker's humorous So Many Angels, selections from Persichetti's Winter Cantata featuring flute and marimba accompaniment, and a stunning Over the Rainbow as arranged by Russell Robinson.

The Colorado Women's Chorale was founded in 2003 by the nationally recognizedCharlotte Adams to broaden the exposure of quality women’s choral music in Colorado while providing choral opportunities for adult female musicians. The CWC provides its members with excellence in choral music while focusing on modern works created specifically for the art of women's voices. CWC holds auditions every August and January.

Jennifer Ferguson is the principal conductor of the Colorado Women's Chorale. Her attention to detail, love of sharing music with others and professionalism embellish the Colorado Women’s Chorale. Mrs. Ferguson earned her Bachelor of Music at Saint Mary's College in Notre Dame, Indiana. Before being accepted to the University of Denver, where she is the Teaching Assistant for the D.U. choir program, she was music director at Aurora Academy Charter School. She has recently finished her MM with a major in choral conducting and holds the title of Artistic Director of the Cherry Creek Children's Chorus. Jennifer is also the Associate Director of Music Ministries at St. Luke's UMC in Highlands Ranch, where she directs the church's many instrumental ensembles including the orchestra, brass ensemble, and jazz bands.

Since 1997, Augustana Arts has been serving the community by presenting resident performing groups, internationally renowned touring artists and accomplished locally-based ensembles of many genres. In addition to CWC, the Musica Sacra Chamber Orchestra (MSCO) under the baton of David Rutherford is also a resident group. These groups perform in a variety of metro area venues in addition to holding concerts at the majestic Augustanaustana Lutheran Church in Denver. Augustana Arts serves educational outreach through City Strings an inspired program guided by violinist Robyn Sosa. City Strings provides access to high quality, private music instruction free of cost to metro area students.
