6712 Hollywood Blvd.
Los Angeles, California 90028

Sunday, March 10 – 7:30 PM
Co-presented by the L.A. League of Arts: THE PINK PATH, 2012, 75 min. Every year 50,000 people make a pilgrimage to a harsh Nevada desert to build a temporary city; for many of those people, the experience changes their lives. Fifteen-year Burning Man participant John Halcyon Styn and videographer Jake Tison set out to capture some of the magic that takes place every year in the dust of the Black Rock Desert. With a focus on how the event transforms individuals rather than the event itself, THE PINK PATH touches on universal ideas of service and love through the Burning Man principle of gifting, seen in practice through the building and hosting of "Pink Heart" camp. Discussion following with director John Halcyon Styn. Starting at 2:00 PM in the Egyptian courtyard is a full afternoon of activities for all ages, with demonstrations of Burning Man art and performances.
