The CMC Microsystems 2007 Annual Symposium on October 18th will focus on research frontiers in next-generation microsystems, with an emphasis on ultra-low power management circuits and systems and their potential application. It will provide a forum for the exploration of Canadian research and technology development in energy consumption and management, in the context of internationally competitive research and commercialization. These opportunities and challenges are central to the research agendas of many researchers and technology developers in Canadian universities and companies.

Being held the previous day, the Canadian Workshop on SOC for Canada’s Systems-on-Chip research community provides a forum for researchers to share information on their latest investigations in the areas of system-on-chip and related microsystems technologies. Applications of interest include telecommunications, biomedical and health care, and aerospace.

Both events are being held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Ottawa.
