Das Pop
Belgians Das Pop are about to become your new favourite buzz band. Their recent single 'Fool for love' got the remix treatment from heavy weights like SebastiAn, Yuksek and Brodinski while their third album is being produced by Soulwax brothers David and Stephen Dewaele. Bent Van Looy, Reinhard Vanbergen and Niek Meul have been making music together since high school and already have a considerable fanbase in their homeland. Much touring has honed a live set not to be missed and as for the music? we'll leave it to them "A sniff of irony should else be present. And there has to be a dirty side to the music : it has to sound a little perverted and decadent". Woot!

Damn Shames
The Fire Engines remixed by Klaxons? Maybe, whatever Damn Shames are without doubt one of the best young bands in the country at the moment. We have been playing their 'Dancing in the Aisles' since we stumbled upon it on My Space a year or so ago and since then their debut single proper was released on Abeano (the XL subsidary that brought you Vampire Weekend). Just about to tour the uk with Islands at the end of the month, they come to club motherfucker for a one off warm up.

O Lousy Tired Gal
Romy, Lead singer of The XX handles vocals, guitar, bass, melodica and tamborine for her solo project. "i am a girl, i don't get enough sleep, which probably causes me to write these songs, often they start off as stories or poems, other times i just like covering horrific camp classics, but all the same im addicted to writing songs so i need somewhere to put them instead of in my head'.
