Yemaya Production Company in conjunction with Arch Productions present Patrick Marber's CLOSER which features an all black cast and will be performed at the Nuyorican Poets Café. The show will run February 8-10 and 15-17. All performances begin at 7 pm. Tickets are $15 and can be purchased at the door.

CLOSER is a powerfully provocative play. It explores the deception and cruelty fed from deep passion. It is a visceral jolt felt throughout the body, guided by a one-man percussionist providing a beat and pulse for the play. Patrick Marber's words so accurately portray these four lonely strangers as they destroy one another through what truly are crimes of the heart. In this production, we strive to capture the cruelty, love, and fire that define this play.

CLOSER is directed by Jeffrey Speetjens and features Suzanne Harvin as Alice, Donovan Christie as Dan, Andaye Hill as Anna and Julian James as Larry.
