Clinic blends chugging, Velvet Underground-style guitars and icy, Suicide-esque keyboards with drum machines with acidic, Lennon-esque vocals. Shearwater's music features sparse, mostly acoustic instrumentation, lightly augmented by piano, violin, pedal steel, accordion, banjo, cello and glockenspiel.
