WHAT: Climb Detroit, the American Lung Association’s competitive stair climb, where participants can register for either the 70-floor full climb (1035 steps) or the 40-floor half climb (585 steps) within Michigan's tallest building.

WHEN: Sunday, March 8, 2009. Registration 9:00 a.m., first step 10:00 a.m.

OK, the climb is just one week away now. If you aren't in tip top shape now it may be too late. This is very tough to do in my opinion. Sure you have the dudes running up 70 flights in about 6 minutes, while awesome they are the, I think, the exception. Most of us are about 15 minutes and last year I was 17:30... (I left room for improvement!). This year I am shootiing for under 15 minutes, that's my goal. Good luck everyone, it's a very challenging event.
