Series Description:

SDForum, in conjunction with Astia, has launched its 2008 Clean Tech Breakfast Series for a third year in a row. You are invited to attend the second breakfast: "Cellulosic Ethanol Technologies - What's real?" to take place April 22nd at 8:00 am to 10:00 am in Santa Clara, at the Applied Materials offices. We are pleased to announce that The Clean Tech Breakfast Series is being sponsored by Nixon Peabody and Moss Adams.

Topic Description:

Cellulose-derived biofuels is on the cusp of commercialization, with at least two commercial scale plants under construction and the benefit of significant government financial support. However, it still is well behind food based biofuels. What are the factors for success in achieving large scale commercialization and what is the scope for market penetration? Which technologies are likely to best address issues of feedstock supply, scale, yields, costs and compatibility with existing infrastructure? Could there be hidden risks or unintended consequences that have appeared with the introduction of other large scale technologies?
