Respighi's evocative Rossiniana is a tribute to the delightful piano music of Rossini, and ends with an infectious Tarantella. Among Rachmaninoff's most beloved compositions is the Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini, a dazzling set of 24 piano variations, performed here by virtuoso Joyce Yang. Schubert's two-movement "Unfinished" symphony is a work of drama and mystery, featuring some of his lovliest orchestral writing.
