The West Bay Community Band on the San Francisco Peninsula is a Symphonic Band that performs an eclectic variety of musical styles. It also facilitates chamber ensembles such as the West Bay Saxtet, to be featured in this concert. The group produces 6 to 10 performances per year at community events and dedicated concerts. Doug Miner (conductor, educator, recording artist and performer) leads the group. "The West Bay Community Band musicians are working very hard to get ready for this concert,” says Miner. “We hope music lovers from everywhere in the Bay Area have a chance to make an evening of it and come to the Redwood City Courthouse Square to hear the West Bay Band in this historic setting.”
