Classical Guitar Society of Calgary Presents Sheldon Stanley March 31, 2007

A versatile musician, Sheldon has performed on the guitar in its various incarnations as a soloist, as part jazz and rock combos and as a member of a classical ensemble. Having earned his Diploma in jazz guitar, he then pursued studies on the Classical guitar at the University of Calgary under Jacob Salomons where he attained his B.Mus.
Sheldon has since been a semi-finalist in the Northwest Guitar Competition and was highlighted as a soloist and ensemble performer for the seminarist's recital at the first annual Acadia Guitar Festival in Nova Scotia. Sheldon has performed in master classes for such artists as Benjamin Verdery, Duo Similia, and the Eden Stell Duo, and continually impresses with his fluid, graceful playing, and relaxed stage presence.
