Adrienne Clancy’s “enchanting” work is a “tour de force of unpredictable partnering” (Washington Post). Founded by artistic director Adrienne Clancy in 2001, ClancyWorks Dance Company is made up of highly qualified performing artists and educators who generously come together to share their artistic visions. Specific to Clancy’s creative process is an exploration of architecturally informed partnering that is developed with a group of diverse dancers. Her company’s approach to partnering is sensitive, highly physical and extremely human. Incorporated in performances and residency workshops is the dynamic use of partnering in order to exemplify an environment of mutual respect and create empowering images.
