In celebration of the 20th anniversary of the Harvey Kornblum Jewish Food Pantry, Jewish Family & Children's Service is planning a very special fundraiser, “Circus With a Purpose,” at 1 p.m. June 12. An afternoon of circus delights will bring both current and new food pantry supporters for a performance at Circus Flora, under the big top tent adjacent to Powell Hall (at the corner of Grand Boulevard and Samuel Shepard Drive).
This year’s annual fundraiser, Feed the Pantry-Feed the Soul, will accompany a performance of Circus Flora’s 2011 production of “Vagabond Adventures.”
Admission to the event is a bag of groceries and a donation of any amount along with your tickets to the show. A contribution qualifies attendees to purchase discounted tickets for the performance in the JF&CS reserved seating block. These specially-designated tickets only are available by calling Jean at JF&CS, (314) 993-1000. All seats will be filled in advance, so those interested in purchasing tickets through the JF&CS underwritten discount price must call JF&CS and reserve their place by June 1.
Jewish Family & Children’s Services helps serve clients from more than 89 different zip codes throughout the greater St. Louis area. Jewish Family & Children's Service is a proud member of the United Way.
