The summer series of Cinema Supper Club at the Legion of Honor kicks off on Thursday, July 10 with a special 50th-anniversary celebration of Hitchcock’s Vertigo (1958), which features scenes filmed at the Legion. The evening includes a book signing (6:45 pm) and presentation (7:30 pm) by Jeff Kraft and Aaron Leventhal, authors of Footsteps in the Fog: Alfred Hitchcock's San Francisco. A gallery of pictures will show locations from the film and an artist will be painting the infamous Carlotta portrait. The Legion Café will serve a supper of mid-century modern entrees, nibbles and a signature Vertigo cocktail.

The new series of Cinema Supper Club, entitled From the Golden Gate to the Silver Screen, presents movies filmed in the City by the Bay. The Thursday-evening programs (July 10–August 21) feature dinner in the Legion Café, after-hours access to the special exhibition, Women Impressionists: Berthe Morisot, Mary Cassatt, Eva Gonzalès, Marie Bracquemond, and films in the Florence Gould Theater. The feature film on July 17 will be The Conversation (1974, 113 minutes).
