Emily Franklin, the daughter of a prominent Pastor, seemingly has it all. She has a great family, a wonderful love interest and is a role model in her father's church. But things aren't always what they seem. Emily is hiding a very shocking secret and has been working overtime to cover it up while maintaining her good girl image. When her worlds collide, events take a drastic turn, secrets are exposed and skeletons come crashing out of the closet. As young women across the nation continue to compromise their bodies and barter their very souls, this hard-hitting stage play dares to answer the question so many have asked, "what would make a well-rooted church girl trade in her choir robe for a g-string?" Witness the power of grace and redemption in this shocking new inspirational musical based on true stories. From the writers of many national plays including 'My Brother Marvin,' 'If These Hips Could Talk,' 'Real Men Pray' and 'Why Good Girls Like Bad Boyz' comes the spirit-filled and controversial new musical, 'Church Girl.'

not a good experience

I was excited to purchase tickets to attend Church Girl with my husband for an early Valentine's Day gift. I was very disappointed when I heard that none of the names that were announced on the radio where in this play. I heard from another guest that they performed in another city the night before so I feel like they overlooked the Louisville patrons as if we weren't as important. Demetria McKinney (Emily) did a wonderful job and the good thing is my husband enjoyed the show. I just hope in the future if big names are advertised that they at least show up!!
