Christian Boltanski, Books April 22, 2008

Christian Boltanski incorporated found objects into his work to create carefully crafted personal narratives. He began creating books around 1970, as a natural extension of his use of narrative in his paintings and films. His books were often autobiographical as he often fabricated the information and would mail them out in a process he called mail art.
